Kinetic Construction Ltd. has an opportunity within our Vancouver branch for a Regional Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator to develop and maintain close relationships with branch management, HSE communities and employees to assist Kinetic to achieve its corporate commitment to Environment, Health and Safety. This position will be responsible for providing a specific region of sites with professional HSE expertise and guidance. Be a safety leader and promote a positive safety culture and work environment that educates, coaches, and supports our crews, sub trades and clients.

The wage band for this position is $79,736 - $119,605 and is based on relevant skills and experience.

Position Specifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a health and safety professional in an advisor role, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • NCSO, OHS Diploma & CRSP an asset
  • Valid OFA 2/3
  • Root Cause Investigation experience considered an asset
  • Drivers Licence Required
  • Ability to lead various training sessions internally considered an asset

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of Provincial and Federal HSE Regulations and Legislation
  • Strong understanding of the COR Audit process
  • Team player with the ability to work with employees and business leaders at multiple levels of the organization
  • Ability to influence senior regional management in both compliance and engagement of Health & Safety
  • Solid organizational, time management and prioritization skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Proficient in Revu BlueBeam and Procore an asset
  • Effective training and facilitation skills, familiarity with adult learning techniques
  • Specific safety related training relative to Construction
  • Experience with policy review, creation, and implementation
  • Strong communicator, relationship builder and business partner
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and independent problem-solving skills
  • Travel required to assigned branches and various project sites across the lower mainland on a regular basis to champion boots-on-the-ground safety
