Kinetic Construction Ltd. has an opportunity within our Vancouver Branch for a BIM/VDC Technologist. Under the direction of the Lean Integration Leader, this position will execute tasks based on established procedures and apply broader knowledge to analyze and solve problems for innovation, research, and development. This position will work closely with the BIM/VDC Specialists to implement and assist in project delivery throughout the design and construction phases.

Wage Band Range is 60,000 to 80,000 annually.

Position Specifications

  • Post-secondary education in Architecture or Engineering is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of BIM & VDC services, standards, and implementation.
  • 1-3 years of production experience in design, drafting or engineering.
  • Prior experience in the Construction Industry is considered an asset but not required.
  • Proficiency in reading and creating BIM models using 2D drawings, rough sketches, or verbal direction from the project team.
  • Proficiency in software such as Autodesk Revit, Trimble SketchUp, Navisworks, Bluebeam, or similar.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as ACC, Revizto, cmBuilder or similar is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of building construction and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use time productively, maximizing efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
  • Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standards of conduct from self and others.
